Lioness Arising Recap - Session 6

Lioness Arising Session 6

Greet and Groom

Lions greet one another with face to face contact to look for the fragrance of the pride.

They also groom each other which forms a bond that removes the dirt that they cannot reach themselves.

Both of these routines speak volumes to one another saying, "You are welcome here and belong to us. Come discover who you are within the safely of our pride. Make mistakes and grow with ease among us."

Jude 1:2 (MSG)
Relax, everything’s going to be all right; rest, everything’s coming together; open your hearts, love is on the way!

In the company of friends we need to have a  greeting that allows others to relax in our presence.

2 Cor. 13:12
And that’s about it, friends. Be cheerful. Keep things in good repair. Keep your spirits up. Think in harmony. Be agreeable. Do all that, and the God of love and peace will be with you for sure. Greet one another with a holy embrace. All the brothers and sisters here say hello.  The amazing grace of the Master, Jesus Christ, the extravagant love of God, the intimate friendship of the Holy Spirit, be with all of you.

Greet each other with a holy embrace. That doesn't mean to do the side hug but to genuinely care and connect!!

We need to LOOK at each other to find out what they are going through. Get close enough to recognize the "sent."

"Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people." Eleanor Roosevelt

We all need "fathers" and "mothers" to help us to grow up while feeling safe and protected.

We all need someone in our lives that will help us to grow up and to "scold" us and tell us when we are being stupid.

We need someone in our live who will be willing to take time to groom us to position to succeed.

"You must learn from the mistakes of others. You can't possibly live long enough to make them all yourself."  Sam Levenson

We need to learn from others mistakes.

We need to have those that see the hidden areas of our lives that are out of our line of sight.

Jesus is our ultimate groomer and the Word washes us from the dust of the days journey.

John 13:10 "My concern is holiness not hygiene."

Luke 11:41 "So clean the inside by giving gifts to the poor, and you will be clean all over." (get uncluttered and be generous with what you have.

We need to be the type of people that are so genuine and over the top with our love and affection that God sees us as doing something that is impressive.

“Sister is probably the most competitive relationship within the family, but once the sisters are grown, it becomes the strongest relationship.” Margaret Mead
